Kathmandu / Nepal

My trip was planned in February allready and I wanted to combine Bhutan + Tibet. Unfortunatly all Tibet trips got cancelled from INTREPID because of the political situation. So I had to look for something else. My international flight was booked so where to go than?! I decided to travel after Bhutan to North Thailand and than for a couple of days down to Koh Lanta - just for relaxing + sunbathing. Back in Kathmandu was like a Dejavu for me - nothing had changed since I was here in 2000. Even the same cafes + restaurants were there. We had 2 days in Kathmandu before we flew to Bhutan and just 9 people in the group.

Meinen Urlaub habe ich ja schon im Februar geplant und ich wollte ja Bhutan + Tibet miteinander verbinden. Aber leider wurden alle Touren nach Tibet von INTREPID abgesagt, weil es politisch viel zu unsicher war. Was tun? Mein Flug war gebucht und ich musste mir schnell ein neues Reizeziel suchen. Also habe ich mich dann für Nordthailand entschlossen und für ein paar Tage auf die Insel Koh Lanta zum Entspannen und Sonnen zu fliegen. In Kathmandu selber hatte ich ein Dejavu - ich war ja im Jahr 2000 schon mal hier und seitdem hat sich wirklich nichts verändert! Sogar die gleichen Restaurants + Cafes gibt es noch. Wir hatten 2 Tage in Kathmandu bevor wir in nach Bhutan flogen und wir waren nur 9 Leute in meiner Gruppe (sehr angenehm).
