The Egyptian Journey

After years of travelling through so many countries I decided that now is the time to visit Egypt. I booked a 15-day trip with GAP which included Cairo-Aswan-Kom Ombo-Edfu-Luxor-Hurghada-Dahab-Mt.Sinai-St.Katherine-Cairo. And I spent also an extra day in Alexandria. I flew out in December to Cairo where I met my GAP group for the next couple of days. Cairo itself is huge, dirty and not really impressive. We visited the Egyptian Museum which is worth going and packed with more than 100.000 relics of the egypthian culture.

Nach all den Jahren, wo ich soviele fremde Länder bereist hatte, war die Zeit reif für Ägypten. Ich buchte eine 15-tägige GAP-Tour die Kairo-Aswan-Kom Ombo-Efdu-Luxor-Hurghada-Dahab-Mt.Sinai-St.Katherine-Kairo umfasste. Und ich fuhr noch einen Extratag nach Alexandria. Im Dezember wars dann so weit - ich flug nach Kairo - die Stadt die man eigentlich nicht besonders erwähnen muss. Es ist dreckig, laut, gross - das Beste war eigentlich das Ägyptische Museum mit mehr als 100.000 Relikte der Ägyptischen Kultur.
